We had some sports today! Drove to Cinque Terre and Manarola. When we left Lucca, we just checked that it is only less than 100 km, and thought that we take the small country roads instead of speedway. Again nice idea, but useless 😉 In Italy small roads are many time so slow to travel, because there run through villages with traffic lights and of course there is more tarffic, too. So after all we found ourselves from toll road making 135km/h. Dull but effective!
We had set our destination to be Manarola, one of the 5 villages which are located by the shore, in between the sea and the mountains. To describe those, is probably easiest just to show the images below. Beautiful, amazing, wonderful! We did a nice walk along the paths on the slopes, and entertained  Japanese tourists.
On our way back we took the road which followed the mountains, went up, and down, through the tunnels. Awesome route, but the driver needed to take quite close look on the road! 🙂
This is a place we definitely need to come back one day.

Urheilupäivä!

Tänään päätettiin ajella pikkuteitä pitkin Unescon suojelukohteeseen Cinque Terreen(viisi kylää peräkkäin). Keli täysin aurinkoinen, + 12 eli aurinkolasikeli. Eihän sinne ollut kuin n. 100 km Luccasta. No tunnin kuluttua puikkasimme kuitenkin moottoritielle, meno oli pikkuteillä sen verran tuskaista ja opasteetkin mitä sattuu tai sitten kartturi ei vain osannut. Päätimme parkkeerata kylään no 2 Manarola. Olipahan kauniit maisemat merelle ja talotkin omalaatuisia. Oheiset kuvat puhuvat omaa kieltään. Manarolasta ajoimme ylös ja alas vuorenrinteitä kaikkien viiden kylän läpi. Välillä tiet olivat hyvinkin kapeita ja oman jännityksen teki mutavyöryjen muokkaamat tiet.  Mutavyöryt olivat vieneet osan tieosuudesta kokonaan. Cingue Terre on hieno kohde ja sinne pitää päästä vaeltamaan vielä joskus uudestaan.
