A stop over at Ermelo
After leaving all the luxury and the elephants behind, it was time to hit to road again. And now we were heading towards Kruger Park. South Africa is a huge country, the distances are great, and even if the conditions of the roads are pretty good it takes time to drive from place to place. So we had planned a stop over on our way in the town of Ermelo. Maud had found a guest house Amandla ( http://amandlaguesthouse.co.za/index.html) which is located a bit out of the busy town centre. We were welcomed by a jolly stuff who showed us our rooms. Rooms were not too spacious, but large enough for having a bed, armchair, and a desk. It certainly was worth of about 27 euros by night, including breakfast! 🙂 Shower was hitech but after all we figured out how it did work... 🙂 After we had tossed everything in the room we continued to the town for an excellent dinner.
View from the doorstep of my room to driveway and front yard...
Dinner time. excellent and friendly service combined with tasty food!
My main course was lamb covered with dough, some local speciality, very good.
